died Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Keeper of the Flame Morewood, Blairsville, PA. She was born on October 22, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late William Edgar Hill and Nancy (Stouffer) Hill. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA. She belonged to the Rebecca Circle at the Church and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star #166 and the Grange #2012, both of Blairsville. Nancy was a retired LPN from Torrance State Hospital. She is survived by her nephews, William E. Hill & wife Marilyn of Layton, PA and Jeffrey D. Hill & wife Sandra of Colorado Springs, CO and a niece, Shirley Komperda of New Alexandria, PA. She is preceded in death by her sister, Margaret A. Hill, brother, Edgar Hill, infant brother, Stouffer Hill and infant sister, Rachel Hill. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Shaffer will officiate. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.

BOLEN, MARY ROSE, 83, CLARKSBURG, PA

died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Communities of Indian Haven, Indiana, PA. She was born October 3, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Marie Graff. She was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA. Mary was a graduate of Blairsville High School Class of 1945. She was a past Regent of the Catholic Daughters of Americas Court of Queen May. Mary enjoyed all types of crafting. She had worked at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. Mary is survived by her husband of 41 years, Melvin H. Bolen of Blairsville, PA, brother, Fr. Francis Clair Graff, a priest of the Pittsburgh Diocese, and several Nieces and Nephews. The Family will receive friends on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. CDA will recite the Rosary at 3:00 PM on Monday in the Funeral Home. died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. She was born November 8, 1913 in Ambridge, PA, the daughter of the late John and Laura (Thomas) Rittelman. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Karen West & hus. Dave of Marietta, GA, daughter, Janet Luke & hus. died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Breezy Point Senior Care, Black Lick, PA. She was born April 21, 1925 in Laughlintown, PA, the daughter of the late William H. Carnes and Minnie (Wenker) Carnes. Elsie had worked as a waitress at Ivy Manor Restaurant and the Town House in Ligonier. She also had worked at the Ligonier State Store. The Family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff at Breezy Point for the wonderful care given to Elsie. Martha had worked at Blairsville Machine Products, R&P Coal Company and was a caregiver for many years. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, PA. Geri had worked as a switchboard supervisor at Torrance State Hospital. She is survived by her life companion, Ralph B. Housholder of Blairsville, PA, son, Gregg S. Calhoun of Mantua Corners, OH, son, Gary E. Calhoun & wife Vicki of Blairsville, PA, daughter, Lisa R. Dearborn & hus. died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA. He was born July 22, 1917 in Derry, PA, the son of the late Jacob and Susan (Turak) Soltesz. He was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA. Paul was a member of the VFW Post #5821 of Blairsville, PA. He served in the US Army during WW II. Paul retired from Torrance State Hospital in the housekeeping department. He also was a former self-employed Barber. He is survived by sister-in-law, Elizabeth Soltesz of Blairsville, PA, sister-in-law, Loretta Soltesz of San Antonio, TX and several Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Frank and Theodore Soltesz and sisters, Emma Muscik, Thelma Myers, Catherine Dowden and Margaret Makary. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his home. He was born April 17, 1939 in Kiski Twp., PA, the son of the late William and Mildred (Strawn) Free. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA. He retired after 25 years from Smith Bus Company. Charles was a veteran of the US Air Force and a member of the American Legion Post #0407. He enjoyed wood-working and all sports. He was a Hospice volunteer for many years. He enjoyed traveling with his friends and being with his Family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cleo E. died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her home. She was born July 9, 1928 in Mt. Holly, NJ, the daughter of the late Grafton and Priscilla (Tallman) Stevenson. She was of the Presbyterian Faith. Anita Jean was a member of the Latrobe Order of Eastern Star. She loved quilting, sewing and knitting. She also enjoyed playing cards with her friends and cooking. She kept busy the past few years tracing her geneology. She had been employed as a secretary for Norman Parker Farms in NJ. She is survived by her daughter, Janice A. Townsend & hus. Larry of Darby, Montana, son, Marvin G. Maybury & wife Connie of Blairsville, PA, grandson, Brian J. Maybury of Blairsville, PA, grand daugher, Alyssa M. Maybury of Greensburg, PA, grand daughter, Jessica Longenecker of Mt. Airy, MD, great grandson, Xzavier Louis Eubank, sister, Dorothy Pettit of NJ. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Joseph Maybury in 1957, a long time companion, Albert Hryzan, brother, Robert H. Stevenson Sr. and sister, Marian Clapper. died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA. He was born November 24, 1921 in Homer City, PA. He is the son of the late Lewis C. and Mary Hazel (Hill) Kelly. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA for over 80 years. Floyd was a US Navy Veteran who served during WW II. He was a member & past master for Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM. He was also a member of the Coudersport Consistory. Floyd had worked for his Father at the former People's Ice Plant, Blairsville. He worked for the former Lewis C. Kelly & Sons Trucking, Lewis C. Kelly & Sons Dodge Plymouth and Bonarrigo Ford all of Blairsville, PA. He also worked at McGills Motors of Indiana, PA. He is survived by his brother, Arthur Kelly of Salina, TX and several Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vera (Rhea) Kelly in November 2009 and son, Charles Lynn Kelly in 1958. She was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsvile, PA where she belonged to the Daughters of Hebron. Ann retired after 30 years service at Torrance State Hospital in the Dietary Department. She is survived by her sister, Lillian Sulkosky & hus. Walter of Blairsville, PA, sister, Betty Dagistino of Millville, NJ and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Tressler in 1989 and sister, Mary Catherine Krall. died Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at his home. He was born October 5, 1928 in Cokeville, PA, the son of the late John and Charolotte (Berker) Feldbusch. He was a US Army Veteran during WW II. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the flea markets. He was a construction miner having last worked at Latrobe Construction. George is survived by his son, George William Feldbusch Jr. & wife Becky of Blairsville, PA, son, Brace W. died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. She was born August 24, 1925 in Warsaw, Poland, the daughter of the late Waslav and Francesca Malinowski. She was a member of the Blairsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had worked as a waitress at the former Coachlite Inn in Blairsville, PA for 25 years. She loved to spend time with the children and grandchildren. Barbara is survived by her son, Robert L. Morini of Plum, PA, son, Norman A. Morini of Blairsville, PA, daughter, Cynthia M. Varrato & hus. Marti of Blairsville, PA, grandchildren, Tina M. Tyukodi of Pittsburgh, PA, Michael R. Morini of MD, Tessa E. Lantzy & friend Luke Goodlin of Blairsville, PA, Alexa R. Varrato of Blairsville, PA and one great grandson, Matthew Tyukodi. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Morini in November 1998. died Friday, December 25, 2009 at his home. He was born April 22, 1971 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Raymond Balint and Denise Siwik. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA where he was a lay minister. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. He served in the US Marines during Desert Storm. Marcus enjoyed his music, hunting, playing solitaire, gardening and canning. He also enjoyed talking on facebook and spending time with his son, Calvin. He was a master technician, having formerly worked at Tri-Star and Kenny Ross Ford. He is survived by his mother, Denise Siwik & husband Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA, father, Raymond Balint of West Mifflin, PA, son, Calvin Marcus Crow of Ebensburg, PA, sister, Melody Nelson & husband Ken of Kittanning, PA, brother, Dr. Matthew Crow & wife Kim of Pensacola, FL, 1/2 siblings, Patrick Crow, Kimberly Adams, Neil Balint and Brian Balint, 2 Nephews and 1 Niece. She was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA. Helen was also a long time member of the Blairsville Italian Club Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and making her own clothes. She formerly worked for W.T. Grant Co., Fours Co., and in the dietary department at Torrance State Hospital. She is survived by her son, Eugene F. Calabrese of Blairsville, PA, and nephews and nieces, John Cicola, Diane Murphy, David Cicola, Jim Cicola, Donna Davis, Marsha Walker, Cos Stasio, Carol Turi, Vincent Calabrese and John Ostach. Ray was a co-owner of Crawford Auto Body of Blairsville, PA. He was a graduate of Blairsville High School Class of 1975. Ray was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Blairsville, where he had been an elder. He was a board member of the Blairsville Little League for many years and a former coach. He was a member of the Blairsville Elementary Basketball Boosters and served as a coach. He started a youth bowling league at the Sokol Lanes a couple years ago. Ray was a member of the Burrell Rod & Gun Club, BPOE #406, the Eagles #1488 and VFW Post #5821. Ray enjoyed rabbit hunting, boating and all outdoor activities with his boys. He will be missed by all. died Monday, September 21, 2009 at Jefferson Manor, Brookville, PA. She was born January 27, 1924 in Black Lick, PA, the daughter of the late Kenneth Fullerton and Georgianna (Rowe) Fullerton. Grace is survived by her daughter, Nathalie Pryke & hus. Tom of South Park, PA, son, James S. Lowman & wife Deborah of Brookville, PA, daughter, Kenise Dugan & hus. Brian of Loveland, OH, grandchildren, Thomas Pryke & wife Maggie of Portland, OR, Kenneth Pryke & Kara Pryke of South Park, PA, James Lowman Jr. of Paris, VA, Jennifer Lowman of Brookville, PA and Patrick, Molly and Alexander Dugan of Loveland, OH, great grandson, Jackson Dugan, sister, Nathalie Leone of Dowingtown, PA and several Nieces & Nephews. died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at Keeper of the Flame - Morewood Blairsville, Pa. She was born April 9, 1913 in Blairsville Pa. the daughter of the late Angelo and Margariet (Fantanetti) Venturini. She was a member of SS Simon & Jude Church and a former member of the Blairsville Ladies Italian Aux. Ida is survived by two sons Robert and wife Dolores of Brighton, Colorado and Raymond and wife Emily of Blairsville. She is also survived by a sister Mary Quilico of Blairsville. Ida also has 4 grandchildren, Kerry Lynn, Linda, Gina and Matthew and 8 great grand children and five great great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Forni in 1994 and the following sisters Julia Martz, and Dirce Pesci and a brother Joseph Venturini. The Family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville with Fr. Chester J. Raimer as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. A wake service will be held at 8:30 PM Monday eve in the Funeral Home.
