Bernice L. (Gunderman) Potts

POTTS, BERNICE L. (GUNDERMAN), 89 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019  at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana, PA.  She was born November 10, 1929 in Yeagertown, PA, the daughter of the late William W.W. Gunderman and Margaret Ellen (Bratton) Gunderman.  Bernie was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, PA.  She retired in 1990 as a registered nurse at Torrance State Hospital.  She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #166, Lewistown Hospital Nurses Association and Ladies Auxillary of Duane Boring Post 9310 VFW of Robinson, PA.  Bernice is survived by her daughters: Kathryn Allen & husband Steve, Blairsville, PA,  Rebecca McCune, Blairsville, PA and  Jennifer Weinhold & husband Mike, Raleigh, NC and also her grandchildren:  David & William Blackburn and Walter & Dawn Ann McCune.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Horace Potts in 2012 and siblings:  Rodney Max Gunderman, Genevieve Betlyon, Roxie Gunderman and Audrey Guerrini.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on  Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. The Order of Easter Star will conduct services Thursday at 7 PM in the Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc., Blairsville, PA on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Erin Evans will  officiate. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Hebron Lutheran Church, 125 N. Liberty St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
