Cleo E. (Ackley) Free

FREE, CLEO E. (ACKLEY), 76 OF BLACK LICK, PA

passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident in Derry Twp., PA.  She was born June 29, 1943 in Slippery Rock, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond Ackley and Alberta (Scott) Ackley.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville, PA. Cleo had worked for Smith Bus Company for many years.  She ran a cancer support group for many years and was a hospice volunteer since 1994.  Cleo was involved in many activities at her church.  She used to love traveling with her husband and had a love for lighthouses.  Cleo is survived by her daughter, Tracy Syphrit & husband, Ron, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Charlie Free & wife, Amber , Commodore, PA, Sarah Free, Blairsville, PA, Angela Free, Blairsville, PA, Travis Repinski, Blairsville, PA and James Repinski, Derry Twp., PA; great grandchildren: Jaysen, Jordan, Kiernan, Logan, Hailey, Carson & Devin; brother, Fred Ackley & wife, Nancy, Beaver Falls, PA; sister, Carol Free & husband, Earl, Hadley, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Free in 2010; son, Michael Free in 2000; son, William Free in 2000; grandson, Joseph Repinski and her infant brother, Jimmy.  The family will receive friends at the First United Methodist Church, 50 S. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Dan Cunkelman  and Pastor Dawn Krishart will co-officiate.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 50 S. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
