Dorothy "Dot" Marie Long

LONG, DOROTHY "DOT" MARIE, 79 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe, PA.  She was born January 16, 1940 in Blairsville, PA, the daughter of the late George Cornell and Florence (Dixon) Cornell.  Dot was a graduate of Blairsville High School Class of 1958. She had formerly worked at Bosco Buick Sales and was a manager of Rite Aid Pharmacy in Blairsville.  She was a life member and very active of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsville, PA.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William F. Long, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Lori Beatty & husband, Rev. William Beatty, Warren, PA; daughter, Sharon Perkins, Homer City, PA; grandchildren, Rachel & Eliana Beatty; brother, Richard Cornell & wife, Candice, Cranberry, PA; sister, Eileen Cobes & husband, John, Lower Burrell, PA; brother, Kenny Cornell & wife, Valerie, Blairsville, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, John Perkins.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM  and  6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on  Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM.  Rev. John L. Buchmann  will officiate.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
