Rev. H.B. Pollock

POLLOCK, REV. H.B., 91 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Tuesday, March 07, 2017 at his daughter's home in Shelocta, PA.   He was born August 13, 1925 in Marion Center, PA, the son of the late Wilbur Carl Pollock and Emma Winifred (Neal) Pollock. He was a retired United Methodist minister having served many parishes in the Western Pennsylvania area and was a member of the Western PA United Methodist Conference.  He and his wife, Dorothy were both graduates of Blairsville High School Class of 1943, Nyack Missionary College, Geneva College and Presbyterian Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA.  He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II.  He is survived by his daughters:  Carol Joy Pollock of Indiana, PA, Judy Scarpone & husband, David of Monroeville, PA and Marilyn Sue Pollock & husband, Mark Gamble, Shelocta, PA; grandson, Reid Bandremer of Greenfield, PA and great grandson, Chase Bandremer.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Mologne) Pollock.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.   A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on  Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  Rev. Thomas C. Spiker  will officiate.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice , 850 Hospital Road  Suite 3000, Indiana, PA 15701 or First United Methodist Church, 50 S. Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
