She often had a dog (or two )cuddled up on her lap. She could be found sharing a meal or making crafts with the cognitively disabled at Love and Light. Cherre was a proud survivor of Guillain-Barre.  She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James S. Garvin Sr., Blairsville, PA; daughter, Christy Cook & husband, David, Homer City, PA; son, James S. I am saddened to hear and read of Cheryl's passing. I lived on East Beech and grew up with Cheryl. I can well remember the times spent at her house, her family, and her dad driving us girls here and there. I last saw Cheryl at our fiftieth class reunion. She was a lovely person, and anyone blessed enough to know her, will miss her.

My heart is saddened at the loss of such a wonderful lady. My prayers go out to each of you. I thank God for allowing my life to have crossed paths with Cheryl. She was an unbelievable cheerleader. She was such and encourager. Everyone that knew her will miss her but we have all been changed by her and that we will carry with us until we see her again. Today we are saddened but heaven rejoices in her homecoming. God bless you and strengthen each of you as you morn her passing. I love you.
