Brady "Brad" Hogue Obituary

Brady (Brad) Paul Hogue, age 77 of Fayetteville, PA, formerly of Blairsville, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2025 in Harrisburg, PA.  He was born January 17, 1948 in Blairsville, PA, the son of the late Alfred T. Hogue and June (Shirley) Hogue.

Brad graduated from California University of PA and taught at the Ebensburg Center State School.  He also received a Master of Divinity at Liberty University and then became a pastor.  Brad was a Pastor at Jenner Township Baptist Church in Jennerstown, PA.  He was a member of the BPOE #406, Acacia Lodge #355 F&AM, Shriners Valley of Altoona Consistory, Blairsville American Legion Post #0407, and Blairsville Military Service Group.  He was also a member of the Blairsville Historical Society.  He was a Civil War buff, a lifelong learner and avid reader, and an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and long walks in the woods.  Those who knew Brad, knew his love for the Lord and his main purpose and desire was to share the Gospel with everyone he met so that they would come to know Jesus Christ. Even until the end, he was steadfastly sharing the good news with all of those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hogue of Fayetteville, PA, a daughter, Jayne Hogue of Harrisburg, PA, a son, James Hogue & wife, Lois of Chambersburg, PA, a daughter, Sarah Hogue of New York City, NY, a brother, Alfred Hogue & wife, Darlene of Blairsville, PA, a brother, Dalton "Dale" Hogue of Blairsville, PA, a brother, Marvin Hogue & wife, Donna of Blairsville, PA, and five grandchildren: Angelo, Dante, Vera, Dominic, and Cora.  He was preceded in death by his son, Louis Hogue who died in 1982, his parents, and sister, Karen Muir.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 10:00 am at Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, Blairsville, PA with services directly following at 11:00 am.  Pastor Bill Hebenthal will be officiating.  The Masons and The Blairsville Military Honor Guard and US Air Force will conduct services.   If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Ligonier Ministries, PO Box 947736 Atlanta, GA 30394-7736.
