Charles Gardner Obituary

Charles H Gardner

Charlie Gardner was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Charlie passed away Saturday, September 14th, 2024 at home in Blairsville. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda (Bellacero), sons Bret and wife Kathi, Marc and wife Michelle, along with his beloved grandchildren, Kullen, Brin, Ava, and Isaac. He had a loving bond with his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janet and John Edmundson, and his nephews Josh, Jesse, Jered and families. He is also survived by his brother Donnie and sister-in-law, Helen of Shelocta, and many nieces and nephews, too many to mention. Alongside spending time with his family, Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He was also a serious Steelers fan, which he enjoyed watching with a Rolling Rock in hand.

Charlie was an amazing man who built his home with his own hands. He served in the United States Army, and upon discharge went to work for Penelec. He was an I&E Tech at the Homer City Power Plant and retired after 44 years of work there. Though he was a dedicated worker, Charlie always had time for his sons and grandkids.  He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Louise (Shaw) Gardner, and siblings Catherine, Frank, Betty, Helen, and Richard.  To fulfill his wishes, there was no viewing, and a private graveside service was held at Canoe Creek Cemetery.
