Charles W. "Chuck" Schmitt

SCHMITT, CHARLES W. "CHUCK", 68 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Tuesday, September 07, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.  He was born April 09, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Charles J. Schmitt and Alice (Kirk) Schmitt.  Charles was a member of the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville.  He had worked for Helen Mine Company and was a member of the former Blairsville Italian Club.  He was a huge Steelers & Pirates fan and also enjoyed walking.  Chuck is survived by his daughter, Tisha Evanko, New Derry, PA; son, Charles J. Schmitt, Punxsutawney, PA; grandchildren: Jordan Evanko & fiance, Shane Willochell, Ryan & Madelyn Schmitt; great granddaughter, Ayla Willochell; sisters: Judy McIntire, Blairsville, PA, Charlene Schmitt, Blairsville, PA, Lou Ann Bortz & Mark Ferguson, Blairsville, PA and Sue Ann Musick, Blairsville, PA; cousin, Joyce Forni & Roy, Indiana, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Kirk Milto.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  A blessing service will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home with Fr. Sam Lamendola officiating.   Interment will be in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
