Cheryl Elizabeth (Holby) Sulkosky

SULKOSKY, CHERYL ELIZABETH (HOLBY), 62 OF BLACK LICK, PA

passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at her home.  She was born July 17, 1960 in Latrobe, PA.  She graduated from Blairsville Jr./Sr., High School in 1978.  Cheryl married L. Stewart Sulkosky on December 31, 1977.  They were married 45 years and have two sons.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and animals.  She was so proud of her family.  Cheryl found a new love for travel in recent years.

She is survived by her husband, L. Stewart Sulkosky, Black Lick, PA; son, Jamie Sulkosky, Josephine, PA; son, Ryan Sulkosky & fiancé, Heidi Buterbaugh, Heilwood, PA; grandchildren: Gage & Benjamin Sulkosky, Heilwood, PA, Jacob Buterbaugh, Black Lick, PA and Nicholas Buterbaugh, Heilwood, PA (currently serving in the USMC); brother-in-law, George Sulkosky & wife, Ruth, Blairsville, PA; brother-in-law, Samuel Sulkosky & wife, Karen Worthville, PA and sister-in-law, Leslie (Sulkosky) Stipcak & husband, Ken, VA.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie G. Holby in 2003; grandmother, Bessie M. Holby in 2007; grandfather, Charles Holby; father-in-law, George Sulkosky, Sr. in 2001; mother-in-law, Patricia (Ferguson) Sulkosky in 2022; sister-in-law, Brenda D. Sulkosky in 2020 and great-nephew, Dante Bongianino in 2021.

The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 2-5 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 5 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Joshua Reid officiating.
