Chester R. Braun, Sr.

Chester R. Braun, Sr., 79 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at his home.  He was born June 20, 1944 in Indiana, PA, the son of the late Chester  R. Braun and Alice E. (Hoe) Braun. Chester served in the US Navy.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, landscaping his yard, playing canasta, telling jokes, dancing and spending time with his family and the love of his life, Deborah.  Chester was a good hearted person who loved dogs and was fascinated with planes, especially military planes.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah (St. Clair) Cowan Braun, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Alicia Poholsky & husband, Rick, Blairsville, PA; son, Nathan Braun & wife, Sharon, Harrisville, PA; son, Chester "Mike" Braun, Jr., Blairsville, PA; son, Rowland Braun & wife, Lori, Ernest, PA; grandchildren: Nathan Braun Jr., Thomas Braun, Abraham Braun, John Braun, Jessica Cassada, Bobbi Ann Pease, Brandon Pease, Joanne Braun, Ashley Braun, Roland Braun Jr., Grant Braun, Samantha Steele, Amber Everett and Robert Cowan; step-daughter, Brandee Cowan, Derry, PA and step-son, Robert Cowan & wife, Nicole, Colver, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Patricia Marie Braun and his beloved companion, Peanut.

In keeping with Chester's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville, PA.
