Craig Michael Paouncic

PAOUNCIC CRAIG MICHAEL, 33 OF INDIANA, PA

passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, surrounded by his loving Family & Friends at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  He was born September 14, 1982 in Latrobe , PA.   Craig was a 2001 Blairsville High School graduate and had attended Ohio State and University of Pittsburgh.  He worked for Tesco Corporation on off-shore drilling and Risinger's Landscaping. Craig enjoyed all outdoor activities. He especially loved playing and coaching for the Blairsville Colts baseball team. Craig was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He loved his dog Riggley and enjoyed taking him on long walks. What Craig enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends and the love of his life, Danielle. Craig will always be remembered for his warm smile and big heart, everyone who knew him loved him. He will be sadly missed by all.  He is survived by his wife, Danielle (Tournay) Paouncic of Indiana, PA; parents, Michael Paouncic & Pamela (Ewing) Paouncic of Blairsville, PA; sister, Jill Paouncic of Indiana, PA; sister, Valyn Ellingworth & husband Josh of Lewisburg, PA; paternal grandmother, Josephine Paouncic of Blairsville, PA; niece, Madilyn Fair; nephew, Mason Clutter; mother & father-in-law, Merle & Dee Tournay of Robinson Twp., PA; brother-in-law, Zachary Tournay & wife, Caitlin of Moon Twp., PA; brother-in-law, Lucas Tournay of Robinson Twp., PA and also many Cousins & Friends.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry & Gladys Ewing and paternal grandfather, Matthew Paouncic.  The Family will receive friends on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held at the Summit Church, 2707 W. Pike Road, Indiana, PA 15701. on  Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Mel Masengale will officiate.  Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Lewisville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Craig's name, to a charity of your choice.
