Dawn Ava Wasser

WASSER, DAWN AVA, 50 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA (BLACKLICK TWP.)

passed away on Thursday, April 08, 2021 at her home.  She was born September 29, 1970 in Spangler, PA.  She was a  graduate of Central Cambria High School and obtained a Bachelor's in journalism from UPJ.  Dawn was employed by Life Steps of Indiana County.  She was a member of the Blairsville Eagles Aerie #1488.  She was a girl scout leader for many years, loved camping, was a Blairsville Band Mom for several years and loved playing Pokémon Go.  Dawn loved singing, including karaoke and was a member of several bands in the area.  She is survived by her parents, Jay Wasser and  Dee (Stormer) Wasser; daughter, Kaitlyn Waltman & husband, Casey, Blairsville, PA; son, Brandon Waltman, Homer City, PA; son, Eric Waltman, Homer City, PA; daughter, Ava Waltman, Homer City, PA; grandchildren, Kira Waltman & Eloise German; siblings: Tina Berezansky & husband, John, Cresson, PA, Jay Wasser, Westmont, PA, David Wasser & wife, Brooke, Hopewell, PA, Paul Wasser, Lemoyne, PA,  Aimee Cernic & husband, Jeff, Johnstown, PA, Jon Wasser & girlfriend, Kendra, Enola, PA, Crista Wasser, Ebensburg, PA and James Wasser & girlfriend, Jess, Camp Hill, PA; several Nieces & Nephews and her best friends, Heather McKee & Jessica Ruddock.  She was preceded in death by her son, Cameron Waltman.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 5 PM with Rev. Rick Conrad officiating.  Masks are required in the Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Irwin, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 to help with funeral expenses.
