Donald O. McCoy

MCCOY, DONALD O., 74 OF DELMONT, PA, FORMERLY OF BLAIRSVILLE

passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at  Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, PA.  He was born January 09, 1948 in Amherst County, VA, the son of the late Betty McCoy.  Donald was a retired truck driver, former security guard and commercial painter.  He was a huge Cleveland Browns fan.  Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, playing the guitar, drawing and painting.  He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Williams) McCoy, Delmont, PA; twins, Pastor Calvin McCoy & wife, Melinda, Blairsville, PA and Kim Price, East Cleveland, OH; daughter, Donna Bruce & husband, Wonzooly, Richmond, VA; daughter, Alysia Wimberly & husband, Tremaine, Maplewood , NJ; step-daughter, Marilyn McFarlin, Blairsville, PA; step-daughter, Schebeeka Croft & husband, John, Blairsville, PA; 26 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; brother, Barry Rodgers & wife, Shirley, Cleveland, OH; sister, Judith Croom & husband, James, Cleveland, OH; brother, Robert Rodgers, Cleveland, OH; aunt, Ardella Knight (nephew Harry); aunt, Hilda Day; aunt, Beverly Dunning; aunt, Louise Lewis and husband Bobby; and also many Nieces & Nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty McCoy; first wife, Karen (Reed) McCoy; sisters, Janice Woodridge & Joyce Rodgers; and grandparents, Robert and Flossie McCoy.  The family will receive friends at Christ Temple Ministries, 28 Poplar St., Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, May 20, 2022 from10-Noon.  A funeral service will be held at Noon with Pastor Reed Moore officiating.  Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Excela Health Home Care, c/o Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation, 1 Mellon Way, Latrobe, PA 15650.
