Frederick H. Blattenberger

Frederick H. Blattenberger, 83 of Black Lick, PA, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Independence Health System Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.  He was born July 11, 1942 in Black Lick, PA, the son of the late Draper Blattenberger and Elizabeth "Betty" (Mehaffie) Blattenberger.  During Fred's life he had worked as a coal miner, in construction and Green Leaf Nursery.  He loved watching all sports, especially the Steelers, hunting, playing Bingo, going for rides in the car and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tammy (Miller) Blattenberger, Black Lick, PA; son, Brandon Blattenberger & wife, Danielle, North Huntingdon, PA; son, Eric Blattenberger & wife, Stephani, Black Lick, PA; grandchildren: Emily Blattenberger & Kyle Liller, Owen Blattenberger & Hudson Blattenberger; great grandchild, Jaxson Liller; children: Richard, Christina, Melissa & their children; siblings: Shirley Boring, Draper "Bucky" Blattenberger, Bruce Blattenberger and Michelle Cummings (James Kowchuck) and also his brother-in-law, Mark Miller & wife, Peggy.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with Fred's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
