Harold D. "Chip" Carney, Jr.

Harold D. "Chip" Carney, Jr., 78 of Latrobe, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh, PA.  He was born  March 1, 1947 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late Harold Carney, Sr. and Marian (Elliott) Carney.  He was a 1966 Derry Area High School graduate.  Harold had worked as a custodian at St. Anne Home for 29 years.  He enjoyed tinkering around in his garage, mowing with his John Deere, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sheffler) Carney, Latrobe, PA; daughter, Lisa Reese, Latrobe, PA; grandson, Cody Reese, Latrobe, PA; great grandchildren: Kaylee, Cody Jr. & Olivia and sister, Annetta Carney, Youngwood, PA.  He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Melissa Jean Carney.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 2-4 PM.  A memorial service will be held at 4 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Len Morgan officiating. Interment will be held in the Union Cemetery, New Alexandria, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
