Jack Dee Ferguson

Jack Dee Ferguson, 86 of Petersburg, MI, formerly of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at Aspen Grove, Lambertville, MI.  He was born June 23, 1937 in Blairsville, PA, son of the late Oscar Lynn Ferguson and Mary Dorothy (Wainwright) Ferguson.  He had worked for BASF Chemical for 32 years in Wyandotte, MI.  He was in the Penn State Wrestling Club, volunteered at Indiana Regional Medical Center, established a foundation at IUP and was an honorary member of the IUP Sports Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his sons: Jack Scott Ferguson & wife, Theresa, Petersburg, MI and Darryl Ferguson, Gibralter, MI; grandchildren: Kelin S. Ferguson & wife, Greta, Waterford, MI, Nancy L. Oliver, Toledo, OH and Andrew Ferguson, Lansing, MI and his great grandson, Beckett Oliver.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 24 years, Nancy Lee Ferguson and siblings: Raymond Wilbur Ferguson, Mary Alice Ferguson and Robert Lynn Ferguson.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 1-2 PM.  A graveside service will follow in the Blairsville Cemetery at 2:30 PM.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Nancy Lee Ferguson IUP Foundation, 1011 S.
