Janet C. (Housholder) Dean

Janet Carolyn (Housholder) Dean, 89 of Blairsville, PA passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Greensburg, PA.  She was born June 2, 1935 in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of the late Archy P. Housholder and Malinda J. (Clawson) Housholder.  She was a member of the Coral Luther Chapel Lutheran Church, Coral, PA where she served in many capacities.  Janet enjoyed playing cards, bowling and singing.  She retired from S&T Bank in Indiana, PA.

Janet is survived by her sister, Ethel H. Cute, Greensburg, PA; nephew, Martin Cute, OR; nephew, Peter Cute, Greensburg, PA; niece, Tacy L. Newcomer & boyfriend, Robert Murphy, Greensburg, PA and also several great & great great nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell R. Dean and brother, Ralph Housholder.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 1-4 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10 AM with Pastor Peter Nordby officiating. Interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
