Janet J. (Weyant) Clawson

Janet J. (Weyant) Clawson died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at her home in Homer City, PA.  She was born January 12, 1944 in Martinsburg, PA, the daughter of the late Brady Weyant and Myrtle (Claycomb) Weyant.  A long time employee of the State of Pennsylvania, she last served as the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Torrance State Hospital.

Janet is survived by her loving husband, Larry Clawson, Homer City, PA: son, Michael Steele & wife, Rose, Indiana, PA; daughter, Leisa Noel & husband, Butch, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Darla Simpson & husband, Craig, Huntington, PA; son, Curt Clawson & wife, Heather, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and grandchildren: Hunter, Jordan, Kasey, Elizabeth, Austin & Mariah.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Weyant and sister, Louise Black.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Service will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Bill Hebenthal officiating.  Interment will be held in the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
