Joseph D. Malek

MALEK, JOSEPH D., 65 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, PA.  He was born August 20, 1954 in Indiana, PA, the son of the late Frank Malek and Lucille (Dixon) Malek.  Joe was a retired union construction worker  having worked most recently for the 12th Rec as a supervisor.  He loved camping, going to auctions and enjoyed having a good time in life.  Joe is survived by his wife of 24 years, Pamela (McGinity) Malek, Blairsville, PA; step-son, Chad L. Calabrese, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Kaige, Kagome & Petda; brother, Frank Malek & wife, Brenda, Blairsville, PA; sister, Robin Smith & husband, Bill, Blairsville, PA; sister, Samantha Sherrill, Conroe, TX; sister, Molly Herby & husband, Stephen "Emil", Blairsville, PA; sister, Penny Evans, Cleveland, TX; many Nieces & Nephews; mother-in-law, Lois McGinity, Youngstown, PA; sister-in-law, Linda McGinity & Travis, Kecksburg, PA and sister-in-law, Kim Kineer & husband, Brent, Laughlintown, PA.  In keeping with Joe's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
