Joseph Ray Obituary

Joseph N. Ray, 91 of Black Lick, PA, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 at his home.  He was born May 17, 1933 in Derry Twp., PA, the son of the late Michael Ray and Elizabeth (Rheott) Ray.  Joe served in the US Army during the Korean War.  He had worked at Torrance State Hospital as a Psychiatric Aide.  Joe was a member of the VFW Post #5821, Eagles, American Legion, Burrell Rod & Gun Club and Coral Graceton Sportsman's Club.  He enjoyed spending time at his camp at Tionesta, PA and hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ray & Brian; grandchildren: Joseph Ray III, Black Lick, PA, Ronny Ray & friend, Mandy Uncapher, Black Lick, PA,  Amanda Francyk & husband, Jon, WA and Eric & Malinda Jones; daughter-in-law, Linda Ray; daughter-in-law, Barbie Walker & Tim Ash, Blairsville, PA; sister, Evelyn; many nieces & nephews; special friends, Joe Olechoveski, Jr. & Deb Robson and his camp friends, Mark & Amy Killmeyer, Chuck Loncaric and Rob, Anna & Kosmus.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty (Podlinsky) Ray in 2015; sons: David, Joseph, James & Ronald Ray; sister, Betty Tatano and brother, Charles Ray.

In keeping with Joseph's wishes, there will be no services.
