June Terry Knode

June Terry Knode, 93 of Bridgeport, WV and previously from Torrance, PA for seventy plus years, passed over and joined Jesus and her Family and friends in Heaven about 6:30 AM on Thursday, January 4, 2024.  She was the daughter of Flossie Cork Terry and Archie James Terry of Sedalia, Doddridge County, WV.  She was born July 28, 1930.

June graduated from Doddridge County High School Class of 1948 and 1952 she graduated with a registered nurse degree from the Union Protestant Hospital in Clarksburg, WV.  She met her husband, Jackson R. Knode while in training at the Torrance State Hospital in Torrance, PA.  June spent her working years as a nurse at Latrobe Hospital and with Doctor Gibson in Latrobe, PA. 

She was preceded by her parents and her husband, Jackson R. Knode; sister, Maxine Terry Ford & husband, Okey and brother, Lester Terry.  She is survived by one son, David Knode & wife, Kara & two grandchildren, Jessica Knode and Jackson Knode, New Alexandria, PA; one sister, Marie Terry Colton, Bridgeport, WV, who she shared residence with the last four years of her life; three brothers: Denver and Carolyn Terry, Bridgeport, WV, John & Sarah Terry, Parkersburg, WV and  Wayne & Charlotte Terry, Myrtle Beach, SC and several Nieces & Nephews.

She will be buried alongside her husband at the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania on January 8, 2024.  The family would like to thank Hospice and the nurses for their kind and loving care and Marie and her sons, Terry & Tracy and also her brother, Denver for their generous and loving help in her care.
