Kathryn Anne Allen

Kathryn Anne Allen, 69 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at her home.  She was born December 31, 1955, in Latrobe, PA, the daughter of the late William Potts and Bernice (Gunderman) Potts.  Kathy was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville.  She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Penn State University and was a registered nurse at Torrance State Hospital.  Kathy retired from the State Corrections Institute.  She enjoyed playing with her dogs and spending time with her grandson, Jeremiah.  She was a member of the Blairsville Garden Club.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Steve A. Allen, Blairsville, PA; son, David Sloan Blackburn, AR; son, William Joseph Blackburn, Pittsburgh, PA; grandson, Jeremiah Blackburn; sister, Becky Potts, Blairsville, PA and sister, Jennifer Wienold & husband, Mike, CO.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, Blairsville, PA on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM till Noon.  A memorial service will be held at Noon with Dave Peightal officiating.
