PLOVETSKY, LARRY JOHN, 85 OF BLACK LICK, PA
passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. He was born August 07, 1936 in Puritan, PA, the son of the late John Plovetsky and Helen (Sebock) Plovetsky Oyaski. Larry was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the United Mine Workers and drove truck after his retirement. He loved listening to Polkas, watching the Steelers and antique cars. Larry is survived by his wife, Thelma (Shirley) Plovetsky, Black Lick, PA; children: Tammy, Sherry, Tom & Scott; sister, Emma Sipos, Homer City, PA and uncle, Andy Sebock, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Joseph Oyaski and sister, Dorothy Petrunak. The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 6PM with Rev. Fred W. Craig officiating. Blairsville Military Honor Guard will conduct military services after the funeral service in the Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 to help with funeral costs.
