Leah V. Stone

STONE, LEAH V., 93 OF BLACK LICK, PA

passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her home.  She was born June 09, 1928 in Reedsville, WV, the daughter of the late Ray Turner and Carrie (Keefover) Turner.  She was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women.  She was also a member of the American Legion, Homer City, PA.  She enjoyed quilting, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren.  Leah is survived by her sons: Wilbur E. Stone & wife, Marlene, Black Lick , PA, Ronald A. Stone & friend, Cyndi, Black Lick, PA and Larry R. Stone & wife, Jennie, Black Lick, PA; grandchildren: Neil Stone & wife, Lawrie, Blairsville, PA, Jeffrey Stone & wife, Lauren, Delmont, PA, Jason Stone & wife, Christina, Blairsville, PA and Nick Stone & wife, Leah, Shelocta, PA; great grandchildren: Nathan, Tyler, Ayden, Hannah, Matthew, Grady, Colson, Rowen, Regan, Mac & Bodie; sister, Dorothy Gibson, Baltimore, MD and sister, Jane Smith & husband, Bill, WV.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard E. "Stoney" Stone in 2021 and also 5 Brothers and 1 Sister.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4-7 PM.  A funeral service will be held at the Black Lick United Methodist Church, Black Lick, PA on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dawn Krishart officiating.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Black Lick United Methodist Church, PO Box 435, Black Lick, PA 15716.
