Leslie Henry Obituary

HENRY, LESLIE C., 79 OF PALMERTON, PA

passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.  He was born October 14, 1941 in Palmerton, PA, the son of the late Ivan C. Henry and Mabel E. (Hancock) Henry.  He was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church. Leslie retired from R&P Coal Company as a miner.  He also retired as a Burrell Twp. Supervisor after 10 years of service.  He always enjoyed spending time with his family and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.    He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth V. (Lockard) Henry, Palmerton, PA; daughter, Debra K. Ankney & husband, Edward W., Marion Center, PA; daughter, Cindy Lynn Weaver & husband, Kris, Black Lick, PA; grandchildren: Holly Woodley & husband Gilbert,  Sarah Ankney, Jennifer Ankney, Richard Ankney and Aaron Ankney & wife Shawnda and great grandchild, Ali Rose Woodley.  He was preceded in death by his sisters:   Esther Baldwin, Mary Alice Calhoun,  Betty Duncan and  Anita Hudson and brothers, Ivan "Jr." Henry and  Edward Henry.  Due to new Covid-19 restrictions, all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in the Coral Lutheran Cemetery, Coral, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Black Lick Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 415, Black Lick, PA 15716.
