Lucille C. "Peg" Shannon

Lucille C. "Peg" (Silvis) Shannon, 90 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at her home.  She was born July 23, 1934 in Homer City, PA.  She had worked in the Dietary Department at Torrance State Hospital for 20 years.  Peg enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with and taking care of her family.

She is survived by her daughters: Janice Ewing & husband Ken, Torrance, PA, Debra Crawford, Blairsville, PA and Sherrie Shannon & husband, Rick Schneider, Indiana, PA and son, Herman Shannon, III & wife, Virginia, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Amy, Ken, Casey, Brandon, Cody, Clint, Shelly, Michael & Christopher; 15 Great Grandchildren & one on the way; brothers, Lewis Silvis, Strongstown, PA and Gene Silvis, Coral, PA and also many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Matilda (Cramer) Silvis; husband, Herman L. "Sonny" Shannon; son-in-law, Ray Crawford; brothers, Paul & William Silvis and 2 sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 4-7 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Dawn Krishart will officiate.  Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Peg's name to a charity of your choice.
