M. Lucille Long

LONG, M. LUCILLE, 95 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019  at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA. She was born July 16, 1924 in Blairsville, PA, the daughter of the late Milton L. Brown and Catherine Elizabeth (Simpson) Brown. Lucille retired from Torrance State Hospital as head of the housekeeping department.  She was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church, Blairsville.  Lucille was the Districts United Methodist Women secretary for many years and was Hopewell's United Methodist Women president.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, flowers, watching football, traveling and taking bus trips with her friends.  She especially enjoyed being with her family.  Lucille is survived by her daughter, Marilyn F. Long, Blairsville, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Long in 2008; sister, Margaret Stiffler; sister, Cleone Mlinarich and several Nieces & Nephews.  The family would like to thank the staff at St. Andrew's Village for the care and friendship extended to Lucille the last two years. In keeping with Lucille's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.  Funeral arrangements are being handled by the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
