Margaret Anne Filitske

FILITSKE, MARGARET ANNE, 70 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Tuesday, May 05, 2020 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.  She was born July 29, 1949 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late John Filitske and Margaret (Bohovich) Filitske.  She retired from Torrance State Hospital after 42 years of service as a Psychiatric Aide.  She was a member of St. Cosmas & Damian Church of Punxsutawney.  Margaret was a member of the Angels of Compassion, volunteered with Church dinners and was also a Eucharistic Minister all at SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA.  She is survived by her sister, Jean Farcus & husband, Bill, Punxsutawney, PA; sister, Loretta Filitske, Pittsburgh, PA; niece, Jonna McCann & family, NC; friends, Bob & Mary Ann Covatch, Rossiter, PA & their children Keith & Taylor and also friends, Cheryl Hamilton, Ruth Felton & Dolores Urich.  She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Mary Ann.  Due to the circumstances of the world today, all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney, PA.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Blairsville Volunteer Fire Co., 51 W.
