Marlene (Fertal) Ferrara

FERRARA, MARLENE (FERTAL), 87 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at  Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, PA.  She was born March 04, 1935 in Coral, PA, the daughter of the late Anne (Stanos) Fertal.  She was a member of the  SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville.  She was a devoted Mother and had worked as a waitress in her early years.  Marlene also worked as an aide at Torrance State Hospital and had worked at FMC in Homer City.  She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Ferrara) McCoy, CO; daughter, Simone Ferrara, Indiana, PA; grandchildren: Gena Ferrara, Sean McCoy & Stephany McCoy and great grandson, Sean McCoy Jr..  She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne (Stanos) Fertal in 2004 and husband, Joseph Ferrara in 2001.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM   to  12:30 PM.  Prayer of transfer will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 PM in the Funeral Home, prior to a funeral mass in SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville at 1:00 PM.  Fr. Stephen R. Bugay  will officiate.  Interment will be held in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
