Mary Ann Brozick

Mary Ann (Robertson) Brozick, 89 of Blairsville, PA, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her home.  Born in Derry, PA on May 16, 1936, the daughter of Arthur James and Mary M. (Shick) Robertson. She graduated from Derry Area High School in 1954 and got her nursing degree from Pittsburgh in 1957.  She retired from Torrance State Hospital in 1990.  She was a member of SS Simon & Jude Church where she belonged to the Angels of Compassion, CDA and helped on the finance council and cemetery committee.  She loved playing in all of her card clubs with her friends.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John W. Brozick, whom she married June 4, 1960, a son, David Brozick, Blairsville, daughter, Lisa  Halmes and husband, Steve, Blairsville, daughter-in-law, Susan Dunning of Newtown, PA, grandchildren: Nicholas & Steven Halmes, Brian Hockin & wife, Elizabeth and Paul Hockin & wife, Lindsay, 4 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters, brother, William Robertson of Derry, PA and several Nieces & Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, John W. "Jack" Brozick, Jr. in 1989, a stillborn in 1965, brothers, James Robertson & wife, Martha & Gerald Robertson and sister, Jane Mathis & husband, Jim.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, Blairsville, PA on Monday, May 26, 2025 from 5-8 PM.  A wake service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 PM.  A mass of Christian burial will be held in SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 11 AM with Fr. Segundino Laude officiating.   Interment will be in the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SS Simon & Jude Church, 155 N. Brady St., Blairsville, PA 15717 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 15120, Chicago, IL 60693.
