Mary E. Vukman

Mary (Dettorre) Vukman, 96 of Blairsville loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away October 31, 2025 at St. Andrews Village where she was well taken care of.  The daughter of Dante and Maria (Barbetta) Dettorre, Mary was born in Blairsville on June 20, 1929.  Mary graduated from Blairsville High School in 1948. She was a lifelong member of SS Simon and Jude Church in Blairsville where she married John Vukman, Sr. on Oct 4, 1949. They were married for 73 years when John passed in 2022.  Mary loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and had family pictures displayed throughout her home. She enjoyed making quilts, her homemade spaghetti for her family and watching Steeler games with her husband.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, John Vukman Jr. & wife, Cena; her daughter, Jean Ann (Vukman) Losco and husband, Phil all of Blairsville; grandchildren, John Vukman & wife, Heidi, Blairsville; Kevin Vukman & wife, Beth, Blairsville; Shelley Wilk & husband, Steven, State College; Bethany Perri & husband, John, Derry; and Katy Zales & husband, Ben, Burbank, CA. Mary has eight great-grandchildren: Jackson, Max & Harper Vukman, lan Anderson, Tye & Mason Wilk, & Roman & Reid Perri. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her seven brothers: Andrew, Joseph, Sam (John), Gene (Lewis), Frank, Henry, Albert and her sister, Anna Pavell.

Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, Blairsville, PA on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A wake service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.  Prayers of transfer will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 9:15 AM in the funeral home, prior to a funeral mass in SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA at 10:00 AM with Fr. Joseph Pham officiating.  Interment will follow at the SS Simon & Jude Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to the Blairsville Food Bank in care of Blairsville United Presbyterian Church, 137 N Walnut St., Blairsville, PA 15717
