Meda M. Rager

RAGER, MEDA M. (HESS), 98 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Thursday, December 05, 2019 at Moorehead Place, Indiana, PA.  She was born October 18, 1921 in Coalmont, PA, the daughter of the late  M.Earl Hess and Stella (Ritchey) Hess.  Meda was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsvile, PA.  She was formerly employed by Shanks Food Store.  She enjoyed playing cards and later in life enjoyed drawing.  She is survived by her son, Robert D. Rager, Jr. & wife, Bonni, Palm Harbor, FL; daughter, Donna Klimchak & husband, Mike, Nicholasville, KY; daughter, Shelby Pitchford & husband, Ed, Boalsburg, PA; grandchildren: Brett Rager, Dr. Brian Moreland, Andrew Pitchford, David Pitchford, Elizabeth Pitchford Arduini, Matt Klimchak and Jamie Plessinger; 6 Great Grandchildren; brother, Willard Dan Hess & wife, Mary Jo, Blairsville, PA and also several Nieces & Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Rager in 1995; daughter, Sandra Moreland in 2011; sister, Eunice Beard and brother, Clair Hess.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, PA on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 3PM with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating.  Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Meda's name to the Blairsville Historical Society, 116 E. Campbell St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
