Michael E. Sulkosky, 74 of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital with family by his side. He was born November 13, 1949 in Derry Twp., PA, the son of Stanley Sulkosky and Mary (Reffo) Sulkosky.
Michael was a veteran of the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66. He was a lifetime member of the American Slovak Society.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Katherine A. (Miller) Sulkosky, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Tricia Morris & husband, Jeffrey, Lowville, NY; son, Michael Sulkosky, Jr. & wife, Rhonda, Latrobe, PA; daughter, Mary Robinson & husband, Thomas, Latrobe, PA; grandchildren: Caitlin Morris, Nathan Morris, Bailey Robinson, Cody Robinson & Skylar Morris; father, Stanley Sulkosky; siblings: Rick Sulkosky & wife, Carol, Vicki Rager & husband, Rick, Bill Sulkosky & wife, Sharon and Rob Sulkosky & wife, Michelle; sister-in-law, Jane Sulkosky; several nieces & nephews and his special pets, Cooper & Lily. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Reffo) Sulkosky; brothers, Stanley & Thomas Sulkosky and granddaughter, Bethany.
The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Pastor Dawn Krishart will officiate.
Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Action for Animals, PO Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
The family would like to thank Loyalhanna Care Center for the excellent care given to Michael.
