Myron Barger

Myron Barger, 94 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.  He was born January 13, 1930 in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Raymond Barger and Estella (Bartley) Barger.  Myron was a US Army veteran.  He was a registered land surveyor.  Myron worked for over 50 years at TW Phillips gas company and also was president at Phillips Production Company for 6 years and continued doing consulting work after retirement.  He loved golfing, hunting, reading and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann (Cecconi) McBurney Barger, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Susan Wolf, Gibsonia, PA; daughter, Rebecca Snyder & husband, Brad, Indiana, PA; grandchildren, Michael Wolf and Elizabeth Wolf; step-daughters, Cheryl Groves and Bobbie McBurney-Johnson; sister, Sandra Merchant, Butler, PA; nephews, Tim Barger, Washington, PA and Rick Barger, State College, PA; many nieces &nephews; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Josephine Barger; brothers, Raymond & Conrad Barger and sisters, Phyllis Breitmos and Barbara Ruffner.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 1-4 PM.   A funeral service will be held at 4 PM in the funeral home.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.  The family would like to give a special thanks to 365 Hospice and Scenery Hill for the wonderful care given to Myron.
