Nevin D. Houser, Sr.

NEVIN D. HOUSER, SR., 77 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at his home.  He was born  April 08, 1944 in Blairsville, PA, the son of the late William Grant Houser, Sr. and Ruth Evelyn (Sharer) Houser.  He was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church.   Nevin was a 1963 graduate of Blairsville High School.  He had worked 29 years at the former Dietrich Industries in the shipping department before working 7 years for Perfetti Trucking.  He enjoyed bowling, visiting Elk Country to see the Elk and also spending time with his Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Thomasine (Long) Houser, Blairsville, PA; son, Nevin D. Houser, Jr. & wife, Jeri, New Derry, PA; son, Jeffrey W. Houser, Blairsville, PA; son, Wilbert G. Houser, Sr. & wife, Bridgette, Coral, PA; many Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren; numerous Nieces, Nephews & Cousins and his sister-in-law, Gladys Houser, Columbus, OH.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Walter Houser, Betty Baker, Nellie Gess, Annabelle Geary and William Grant Houser, Jr.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM.  Rev. John L. Buchmann  will officiate.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717 to help with final expenses.
