STONE, RICHARD E. "STONEY", 94 OF BLACK LICK, PA
passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at his home. He was born June 10, 1927 in Grafton, WV, the son of the late Odley Stone and Dorothy (Pyles) Stone. He was a member of the Black Lick United Methodist Church. Stoney retired as a truck driver from the former Blairsville Machine Products after 41 years of service. He was a WW II US Navy veteran. Stoney was a member of the Homer City American Legion Post #493, the Indiana Moose #174, United Steel Workers and the Burrell Twp. Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working and spending time with his Family, especially his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Leah V. (Turner) Stone, Black Lick, PA; son, Wilbur E. Stone & wife, Marlene, Black Lick , PA; son, Ronald A. Stone & friend, Cyndi, Black Lick, PA; son, Larry R. Stone & wife, Jennie, Black Lick, PA; grandchildren: Neil Stone & wife, Lawrie, Blairsville, PA, Jeffrey Stone & wife, Lauren, Delmont, PA; Jason Stone & wife, Christina, Blairsville, PA and Nick Stone & wife, Leah, Shelocta, PA; great grandchildren: Nathan, Tyler, Ayden, Hannah, Matthew, Grady, Colson, Rowen, Regan, Mac & Bodie; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Gibson & her daughter, Barbara Nicholson and also many Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Everett Stone & wife, Mary Jane and daughter-in-law, Cathy Stone. The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private funeral service will be held on Monday, June 21, 2021 with Pastor Dawn Krishart officiating. Interment will be in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania with military honors.
