Russel Hafer, Sr. Obituary

Russel J. Hafer, Sr., 75 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Beacon Ridge, Indiana, PA. He was born February 8, 1948 in Blairsville, PA, the son of the late George Hafer and Geraldine (McGuire) Hafer. Russ was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Derry Rod & Gun Club and Blairsville VFW. He retired from the Blairsville Boro.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. (Cornell) Hafer, Blairsville, PA; son, Russel J. Hafer, Jr., Hollidaysburg, PA; brother, Robert Hafer & wife, Lois, Blairsville, PA; sister, Georgine Piper, FL; sister, Sharon Gaskill & husband, Duane, Blairsville, PA; sister, Jean Clark, Bradenville, PA; sister, LaVerne Bradosky, New Alexandria; brother, Gary Hafer, OH and many Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: William & Ronald Hafer and infant brother, George.

In keeping with Russ' wishes, there will be no visitation or services. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Russ' name to Actions for Animals, PO Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
