Sandra (Lipay) Davis

Sandra (Lipay) Davis, 77 of  Derry, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe, PA.  She was born October 31, 1946 in Homestead, PA, the daughter of the late John Lipay and Ethel Irene (Kalla) Lipay.  Sandra was a member of  St. Joseph the Protector Chapel, Greensburg, PA.  She had worked for 18 years at Torrance State Hospital starting out as an Aide then becoming an LPN having worked in PA & FL.   She had worked as a psychiatric, geriatric, food addition, chemical dependency and camp nurse at Camp Sunshine of which she was very proud of.  She was a member of the AFSCME Local 2344.  Sandra enjoyed going to craft shows, traveling and partying with her friends and family.

She is survived by her step-son, John Robert Davis, Jr., Blairsville, PA; sister-in-law, Marlene Davis, Blairsville, PA; niece, Kathleen Lawson & husband, Milford, Jr., Blairsville, PA; nephews: Garry Davis, Blairsville, PA, David Davis, Black Lick, PA and Daniel Davis, Blairsville, PA; great niece, Mellisa Pease & husband, James, Indiana, PA and great great nephews, Benjamin & Nathan.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John "Jack" Davis in 2004; baby boy, James William Davis; infant son and daughter, Kelly Marie Vossburg.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Joseph's The Protector Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Gabriel Ward officiating.  Interment will be held in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, Pennsylvania.
