DRANZIK, SHIRLEY (MUIR), 85 OF GREENSBURG, PA
passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born February 05, 1937, in West Wheatfield Twp., PA, the daughter of the late Walter Muir and Sarah (Steffey) Muir. Shirley had worked many years as a phlebotomist and assistant physical therapist at Latrobe Area Hospital. She belonged to the Bethany United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a bell ringer. She also enjoyed making pumpkin rolls and apple dumplings at the church. Shirley was very active in the Red Onion Club of Greensburg, PA. She enjoyed being with her family and kept in touch with her out-of-state relatives. She would lend a hand to anyone in need. The family would like to send a special thanks to the people who helped Shirley with a special thanks to Megan.
She is survived by her son, Jamie Yeager, Kersey, PA; 2 Step-daughters; grandchildren: Mackenzi Yeager, Logan Yeager & wife, Heather & Travis White; great grandchildren,- Maeleigh & Emmalyn Yeager; sister, Gladys Yeager & husband, Sam, New Florence, PA; brother, Denver Muir, Sr. & wife, Frances, Melrose Park, IL; brother, Leroy Muir & wife, Joan, Portage, PA; sister, Harriet Payne & husband, Dennis, New Florence, PA; brother, Harry Muir, Sr., New Florence, PA and also many many Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Dranzik; son, Joe Yeager; daughter, Judy Yeager; brother, Robert Muir and sister, Mildred Short.
The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Saturday, January 07, 2023 from 3-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 7 PM with Rev. Corben M. Russell officiating. Interment will be held in the Germany Lutheran Cemetery, New Florence, Pennsylvania.
