MINTMIER, SUSAN MARY (PLATT), 68 OF NEW FLORENCE

Susan Mary (Platt) Mintmier, 68 of New Florence, PA passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA.  She was born February 28, 1955, in Latrobe, PA.  Susan enjoyed her daughter, Kristina's pet mice, rats and chinchilla.  She also enjoyed horses, word puzzles and game shows, dogs, especially schnauzers and above all, her family.

She is survived by her mother, Audrey (Sutphin) Platt, Blairsville, PA; husband, Kenneth S. Mintmier, New Florence, PA; daughter, Kristina Mintmier & husband, Joshua Westover, Blairsville, PA; daughter, Kimberly Mintmier, Rural Valley, PA; grandchildren: Jordan, Liam, Audrey, Dani & Chloe; brother, William Platt & wife, Susan, Blairsville, PA; sister, Valerie Ketner, VA and numerous Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, William Platt and brother, Thomas Platt.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2-4 PM. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM with Carmen Gunder officiating.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to a charity of your choice.
