Tim Lightbody

Tim "Weese" Lightbody, 68 of Blairsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 surrounded by family.  He was born  November 15, 1955 in Latrobe, PA, the son of the late William C. Lightbody and Barbara (Everett) Lightbody.  Tim was a member of the First Baptist Church, Blairsville.  He retired from URS as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a member of the Italian Club, Derry Rod & Gun Club and served in the Army Reserves.  Tim loved the outdoors, especially camping, fires with his friends and riding his motorcycle.  He was an active Pirates fan but was a lover of all Pittsburgh sports.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Schmitt & wife, Abbey, Indiana, PA; granddaughter, Emma Schmitt; brother, Terry Lightbody & wife, Marlene, Derry, PA; nieces & nephews: Andrew, Amanda & David and special friend, Sue Ann Schmitt, Blairsville, PA.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  Funeral Service will be held in the Ferguson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Glen Shank officiating.  Interment will be held in the Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
