Virginia E. (Bruner) Zona, 86 of Clarksburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born October 10, 1937 in Blacklick Twp., PA, the daughter of the late Ralph Bruner and Beatrice (Wolfe) Bruner. She was a member of the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Lewisville. Virginia had worked many years at Robertshaw, was a homemaker & dairy farmer. She was a member of the former Blairsville Grange and a former Gordon 4H Club Leader. Virginia was a fantastic cook and baker, enjoyed doing sudoku and crossword puzzles, watching the birds, enjoying nature and also spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Joseph Zona & Marcy Fulton, Edward Zona & wife, Elizabeth, Lori Zona-Gardner & husband, Mark, and Mandi McKeever & husband, James; grandchildren: Eddie, Katlyn, Brandon, Shane, Emily & Benjamin; great grandchildren: Brielle, Rogan, Raelyn, Parker & Tucker and brother, Thomas Bruner, Sr. & wife, Marilyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Zona; brothers: James, Clark & Kenneth and sisters: Martha & Roberta.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, PA with Pastor Dan Cunkelman officiating. To help with funeral costs, memorial donations may be made to Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St., Blairsville, PA 15717.
