Wayne McAfoos

MCAFOOS, WAYNE, 80 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

Wayne McAfoos, 80 of  Blairsville, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA.  He was born March 25, 1943 in Marion Center, PA, the son of the late Francis Clair McAfoos and Goldie (DeHaven) McAfoos.

After high school he married Patty Marshall and raised their 2 boys, Kenneth & Clint He had worked different jobs until he went back to school to be a sales agent.  Wayne then worked for Allstate for 37 years and the former McAfoos Insurance, Indiana, PA.  He then retired, bought J&J funnel cake business, sold that business and finally retired for good.  He was a member of the Christ Bible Fellowship Church, Indiana, PA and he also enjoyed going to the casinos.  

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Wayne McAfoos & wife, Beth, Indiana, PA; son, Clinton D. McAfoos & wife, Jennifer, Pittsburgh, PA; 5 Grandchildren; sister, Sandra D. Lentz & husband Don, Marion Center, PA; favorite cousin, Alice Lynn, Blairsville, PA and many Nieces, Nephews, Aunts & Uncles.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bernice Holiday and brother, Jerald McAfoos.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held at 1PM with Pastor Joshua Webb officiating. Interment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
