William Roy McConnell Jr.

MCCONNELL JR, WILLIAM ROY, 68 OF BLAIRSVILLE, PA

passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home.  He was born October 28, 1952 in Indiana, PA, the son of the late William Roy McConnell and Jeanne (McIntire) McConnell.  William was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Blairsville.  Bill operated heavy equipment for 28 years for Penn Dot.  He loved attending car shows, old cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and dearly loved all of his family and spending good times with them.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy (Baker) McConnell, Blairsville, PA; son, Jason Roy McConnell & wife, Jennifer, Sheldon, VT; daughter, Amy Lynn McConnell, NC; son, William Roy McConnell, III, Blairsville, PA; step-son, Joshua Vinson, Indiana, PA; step-son, Jeremy Vinson & fiance, Elizabeth, Indiana, PA; grandchildren, Sarah, Marcus, Duncan & Matthias McConnell; sister, Brenda Pizer, Black Lick, PA; sister, Marlene Stone & husband, Wilbur, Black Lick, PA and also many Nieces & Nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert McConnell.  The family will receive friends at the James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 Monday, May 03, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 04, 2021 at 11:00 AM.  His Son,  Rev. Jason Roy McConnell  will officiate.  VFW Post #5821 & the American Legion Post #0407 will conduct military services Tuesday morning in the Funeral Home.  Masks are required in the Funeral Home.  If so desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
